Welcome to the new semester!

Now is the perfect opportunity to become more involved with sustainability issues on campus! New members are always welcome throughout the semester, but the STeam New Member Kick-off will be on Monday January 30th from 7-8pm in the Chinquapin room in 4th Floor MLK. This will be the perfect opportunity for those who want to become more active in STeam to get information about all of our 8 project groups and (hopefully) fall in love with at least one of them.

Many thanks to those of you who have been involved with STeam thus far! Last semester we started two new project groups: Focus the Nation and Fair Trade University (FTU), both of which are doing extremely well. We are also excited to welcome our newest project group, End Coal Campaign, into the STeam family. Check out the project group pages for more information on each project group!

OLD MEMBERS: Welcome back! Our first old member meeting will be on Monday January 23rd 7-8pm in the Douglas Fir room in 4th Floor MLK. Also, mark your calendars for Feb 11-12 for our Winter Retreat!

STeam meetings are now every other week on Mondays from 7-8pm in the Senate Chambers unless otherwise stated. Most members have already decided which project groups to join, and we are off to a great fall semester! If you are still not sure which project group to join, or are still thinking about joining STeam, please come to our next meeting on Monday Oct. 17th. Also, feel free to contact any CORE member or project group leader. Our contact info can be found under the Leadership tab.

We are a dedicated student group on the University of California, Berkeley campus working to improve the environment while educating those around us. We have a variety of projects addressing various environmental concerns, but we also like to enjoy the outdoors together during our retreats and socials!
