How to join STeam:
Sustainability Team is a special program in the ASUC (Associated Students of the University of California) student government. Membership is open to all current UC Berkeley students and community friends. We function on a day to day basis, though our team leaders report to the ASUC elected officials. If you are interested in joining STeam whether it be for meeting other environmentalists, becoming more active on sustainability issues you are passionate about or just to check out what we're doing then just show up to one of our meetings. Ask to talk to one of the team directors who can help you figure out which of our current projects is the best match for you, or support you in starting your own project.
Our meetings this year will be in the MLK student union building at 7pm on Tuesday nights. Note schedule below:
Tuesday, November 4, MEETING CANCELLED, go home and watch election results come in!
Tuesday, November 11, West Madrone, 4th floor MLK, 7pm: short meeting followed by potlucks in various locations afterwards!
Tuesday, November 18, West Madrone, 4th floor MLK, 7pm
Tuesday, November 25, West Madrone, 4th floor MLK, 7pm
Before joining STeam, you may find it helpful to browse this site and familiarize yourself with what projects we are currently working on so you have a better idea of where you want to get started. We're also very open to hearing new project ideas. Talk to our directors if you'd like help starting a new project.
